Tails - Digital 3D

I had a lot of fun animating this cute little fox in Maya and am happy with what I achieved! I haven't yet added squash and stretch to the bouncy ball but I feel that would be a great way to give the ball a bit more character.

Introduction to Stop Motion

Ball on string
Pendulum
Balloon

Our introduction to stop motion animation consisted of animating a coin to resemble a ball swinging on a string, a pendulum and a balloon falling. It was a difficult task as I found the pendulum swung too quickly however for a first attempt I was happy with the result. Animating the balloon was difficult, however I feel like I managed to get the general idea of creating a swing to show the little weight and airy-ness of a balloon. The end of the balloon jumps a little too quickly and could do with a few more in-between frames.

Cube Jump - Flash

This piece of 2D animation was created using Adobe Flash; we were set an assignment to animate a cube jumping.

Speed and Direction

This assignment was to create a storyboard with two characters moving in different directions, one slowly and one quickly resulting in a collision or a meeting at some point.
My storyboard shows Bunny girl who doesn't realise how quickly she is picking up speed on her roller skates and ends up colliding with Cat man who is just crossing the street as she zooms down the hill.

Bouncing ball 3D digital animation

My first 3D piece of animation was a bouncy ball created on Maya. I had a lot of fun animating this ball as it was my first time animating in 3D. I think I have created a good bounce however I could improve this by adding rotations to show that the ball is rolling as it bounces.
